"What happened to her, Hija?"
"Tita, coffee." I handed her the coffee and sat down next to her.
We faced each other and both held our coffee with both our hands. "She fainted, Auntie...." I replied.
When Jam fainted, I immediately called Tita Jeya to come to the house and she immediately came. Then we brought Jam to their house, who is still unconscious, it's almost three thirty in the afternoon and I haven't even gotten to my first period in the afternoon.
I still can't get what happened earlier out of my mind. How the things floated earlier, how Jam's voice worked magic to lift those things.
"What? Why? Did she do something that might exhaust her?" Auntie asked. I was stunned and couldn't answer.
I wasn't in a position to tell her what happened to Jam and what Jam did. I didn't want to lead Jam on when it came to his family. I'm true to Jam and I'm not just a friend. Because I wouldn't do anything that would make us two enemies. I will never do such things.
"I d-don't k-know, aunt." I lied.
She let out a heavy sigh. "What did he do again?" She asked and glanced upstairs, across from Jam's room where he was lying now.
I just stood there and didn't say anything. I couldn't say anything about the strange thing that happened to Jam and I today. I wasn't sure if I should tell Tita Jeya, though she's Jam's mommy but I didn't want to be the first to tell anyone, especially with Jam's decision.
A moment of silence fell over us until Tita Jaye broke it. "Feion?" I looked up when she called my name. "Yes, Auntie?"
"Do you know.....have you.....know something.....I mean, do you know s-so..." Her words were so broken that I frowned.
"Auntie? What is it?" I asked in surprise. She got serious and put the coffee on the center table then turned to me seriously.
"I am not interrogating you if you feel I am. I just wanna ask you something, is it okay?" Even though I was nervous, I nodded.
"S-sure, Auntie..." "Do you know anything about your Auntie? Anything will do, Fei." She asked sensitively. I thought about it.
"Besides being strict and rude, what else?" I asked sarcastically. She was stunned. "That's all? Anything!" She was shocked. I laughed.
"Nothing, Auntie. I've never had any interest in why she treats me like that. I still don't have the right words to describe how I really don't care about her anymore.
It sounds a bit ridey, that's how I really feel." I asked for a long time. She hesitated and then finally nodded in agreement. "A-Ahh, okay.... But, have you heard anything about Krissa? It's been a year since she disappeared....or should I say she ran away..." He said sadly.
I was stunned. Krissa.
I forced my gaze. "Not anymore, Auntie. In seven years of living, I don't even know if she's still alive. She didn't think of me and Jam before she made a decision, she only cares about herself." I said bitterly.
"Don't say that. I know that she has a reason behind her decision. You know her, all to well." She was encouraging me but it didn't reduce the anger that was building inside me. I couldn't accept it.
"I don't think so Tita. It doesn't seem like she's the Krissa I knew and spent a few years with. Because the Krissa I knew would never do what she did before. She knew that Jam and I would be angry." I just said it.
She didn't say anything, instead, she held my hand and gently squeezed it. I just bitterly smiled at her. Remembering my old friend, or did she really? I let out a heavy sigh.
Auntie and I chatted for a while until I finally got home at five o'clock. I didn't let Auntie drive me home even though she insisted.
There's no one to watch over Jam in case he wakes up and looks for something. I got home, took a shower and ate, I did everything but it was surprising that Auntie was still not home. Usually she comes home at six thirty but it's already nine o'clock and she's still not there.
I'm sitting here on my bed in my room thinking about what I can do. I want to study but my heart just doesn't want to do it.
I looked at the time before deciding to go to Auntie's room. I want to know if what is the style of her room. It has no lock because she said the she trusts me and I don't have a plan to go and take a look at her room before, just now.
There's nothing to lose if I try, right? I slowly opened Auntie's door and went in. I sat down on her soft bed before looking around her whole room. It's simple. Her room is a white and black theme.
Most of her things are white and black, her curtains are made with black and white, so her bed too. I opened my cellphone and texted Jam.
To: Jamika Krisel <3 I am currently here inside Auntie Astrid's Room. Seriously, her room is so gorgeous it's almost creepy.
Sent!
I hid my cellphone in the pocket of my sleep pants then stood up and looked around Auntie's room again. But one thing caught my attention.
The book on Auntie's pillow. I looked at it in surprise and slowly walked closer to it. I had no intention of approaching it but something was pulling me to approach and open it.
I took it and sat down on Auntie's bed again. I stared at it for a moment. If you look at it, it looks like an old book but its unique aura and design screams.
It's obvious that what it knows is very important. With its age, you still won't see any dust or any dirt. It's brown and what caught my attention was its title, which wasn't written on it. I've only seen a book without a title this time.
Creepy. Even though I was surprised, I opened it but I didn't expect it to produce such a strong light that I had to let go of it and cover my eyes to avoid being blinded by the bright light.
What is this Fei?! I didn't open my eyes and kept my hand covering my eyes. If I'm not mistaken, I had been in that position for about five minutes until I heard something strange. Bird chirping? I slowly removed my hand covering my eyes.
And I slowly opened my eyes. My jaw almost dropped because of another strange thing that happened. If earlier I was in Auntie's room, now I'm here in a strange place—which I think is a garden because she's so beautiful! I looked around and it was strange that I didn't see a single person. I looked at where I was sitting and my heart beat faster when I saw that I was now sitting on a wooden bench.
"Oh, my god!" I covered my mouth in shock. Fuck!
"Where the hell am I?" I asked myself.
I stood up and looked around the entire place again. I remembered my cellphone in the pocket of my hello kitty pajamas. I reached for it and was happy to take it.
I immediately checked Jam's message but it was gone. She didn't reply to my text, because she might still be asleep. I was mystified by this place. It was too perfect for a girl like me. If only Jam was here, she would be happier than me because she loves flowers.
Especially Krissa. I let out a heavy sigh before I decided to walk, out of nowhere. I just walked around until I got out by the exit of the beautiful garden. My earlier shock was replaced by extreme shame.
If there were no people before? Now there are many! And I can be sure that I am in a school because of the tall buildings I see. I feel ashamed to go and just keep walking and try to ignore the eyes that are now watching me! I want to swallow the ground because of the extreme shame!
Damn it.
I just realized that I'm still in bed until now! Fuck! I look so embarrassing, bitch! They started whispering about me and I could barely look at them because of the embarrassment!
Bitch! I don't want it anymore! "Who the hell is she? Why is she wearing pajamas to school?"
"That's against the rule girl!"
"Omg! She's cute, but the rule is not!"
"Bitch, who is this again!?"
"She's not that pretty, bitch."
"Transferee, huh?"
"I will make her life like hell." That's what I hear most of the time. I walked even faster while standing. Bitch, I don't want it anymore! I don't know where or what kind of wall I hit, it was hard! I was walking fast but I stopped when I bumped into something hard.
"Zyen, what is it?! Don't be so grumpy, look! she doesn't have an idea who we are, haha."
The girl slightly punched the cold boys arms. The cold man—yet handsome looked at me with his beautiful light brown eyes.
"O to the M to the G! She talked with my baby and my sister princess!"
"I cannot accept this, omg!"
"Holy shit! She's looking at his eyes!"
"I'm so envious of her!"
"Shock! Why is she with them!?"
"What the fuck is she talking to?!"
"Wahhh! Zyen marry me!"
"Give me a child Zyen! I'll be good!" That that's too much!
I couldn't help but look at the people who were staring at us. They were staring at me so I glared at them too.
"Tch, what are you looking at? Do you need something?" The man asked. "Move or I'll make you." He warned.
I looked at him and our eyes met but he immediately looked away. "W-what place is this?" I asked and looked at the woman.
"What? You— Aish! Nonsense." He ruffled his hair in annoyance before walking away from us. You thought the prince would walk fast.
The women gave him the way to pass. I glanced at his back for a moment before turning back to the woman. "You look cute! Tell me, where are you from?" She asked.
I thought about it. "I-I d-don't k-know. When I opened my eyes, I was already here!" I admitted.
"Huh?" She asked in surprise. I nodded and just stood there because of embarrassment.
We were still the center of attraction because I couldn't count how many eyes were staring at me right now and I felt a sense of alienation from the way they were looking at me.
"Ah, don't worry. Come with me, I'll take you to the school office." She said with a smile and then held onto my arm. Weird.
"Nice...." I heard the familiar voice again that I knew I had heard somewhere. But I couldn't remember where or when.
