Chapter 17: Shooting star.
Charlotte called her daughter to the dinning table, she served her various dishes she had always loved to eat since childhood.
"My baby, don't worry about your father. I won't let him pick on you, I'll talk to him", she said patting Aria's head.
"Yes mummy, thank you. You are the best mum in the whole world". She said in between eating.
Charlotte smiled, her heart was full with joy. She remembered how she had missed her daughter so badly, but then, she didn't want to come in and disrupt her decision, she had to let her baby choose what she loves doing.
Aria went on eating, trying her best to be okay. She couldn't afford to let anybody suspect or know about her sister in law in danger, she smiled to her mother.
Grandma who was still in the living room reading, saw the mother and daughter pairs. She shaked her head and smiled, then she continued what she was doing.

"Move fast, don't waste my time". Mr Sharp commanded his men carrying Flora. He had changed the location of the shoot, now they were in a deep bush after an abandoned farmland. He couldn't wait to touch this fair skin and watch her struggle with her bare white body. Different stupid scenes played on his head, he would even allow his men to have a taste of her.
They got to a big tree with large shades, Mr Sharp ordered them to drop her on the ground. They allowed her back and head to rest on the tree. "Now set the tools". He commanded again.
Flora was the one to be shooting and Mr Sharp was supposed to be the client to be shot, but it seems now, that the game and system has changed. Flora was still deep asleep, since she had passed out in the car, she hasn't woken up. She was drugged by what she inhaled, her body was too weak to endure it.
"Make sure you capture it well, you can start recording". He said to one of his men.
They were 3 men along with Mr Sharp, the recording started playing and he asked one of them to bring a pail of water. He took the water and pour on Flora right from her head, as the water touched her, she gently opened her eyes, her senses flooding back that she was still alive.
When all these were ongoing, Scott and his men had gotten to the location Flora gave him. They couldn't find anything, except her tools bag. This shows they were here at a particular time, but where could they have taken her? Was this location given to her just to deceive? Scott couldn't waste time on making assumptions, he ordered one of his men to track their location, with their powerful skills and tools, they were able to get it within few seconds.
Who is playing tricks with Sky Lord? Everybody thought about it. "Big bro, she would be fine, you don't have to worry too much". Maxson consoled his brother.
"It can't be Arthur playing tricks with us right?" Roy asked feeling confused.
"He won't dare! With my woman?", his voice thundered everyone. It was so cold and lost of pity. Micheal was just calm throughout, he was also worried about Flora but had to hid his worriness about someone's else wife. He didn't want to add to his friend's temper, he knew his personality well.
Right inside the deep bush, Flora was beaten and slapped several times. The video kept on recording this wicked scene, Mr Sharp even brought out a knife to scare her, in order for her to cooperate with him. "I am so sorry I had to destroy your beauty, it took me several days to get to you. You might be an idol worshipped in your own world, but here, you are our scapegoat". Everyone laughed.
"Please, please help me", Flora begged them seeking pity from them. "Keep quiet my pretty lady. Apart from the little display we had displayed earlier, we still have something else to do to you. The person who sent us told us to make you miserable, to make you look pitiful and ruin you for life". Mr Sharp said everything as if it was something beautiful to say.
Flora shivered after hearing that someone had sent them to destroy her. Who has she offended? She hadn't think much before two of the men came to hold her down. "What are you trying to do? Please don't do this to me, please". She continued to plead to deaf ears. Her thoughts drifted to Scott, her contract husband. Why was he coming to her head now? He would have gone to the location he showed him this morning right? What would he had thought? That she had lied to him?
Different questions sprung up in her head even as she was screaming for help. They were about tearing her dress when someone shouted at them.
"I dare you to go on with what you are doing?". Scott voice thundered coldly, with a powerful killing intent emanating from his body. Even Flora who was shouting got scared of him than the kidnappers.
Meanwhile, Cylene had just sent a message to Mr Sharp, demanding for the video tape. She felt he was taking too long to complete the work. "What on earth is that foolish man doing?". She complained to her daughter. Presch was also anxious to get the tape, so she could start executing her own devilish plan.
"You woman, you annoy!". Mr Sharp had sent that to her before Scott had arrived. Flora didn't believe her husband could come to her rescue, she was bewildered and fell back to the ground. She had try standing up after the cold voice rang out, even the men had tried running away except Mr Sharp who had want to prove stubborn. The men who tried to running away were caught by Scott's men.
Gad kicked one of the kidnappers hard in his stomach, Dragon, Sniper and Venom took the three men inside their van. Scott kicked Mr Sharp hard on his head, Sharp took his knife that had fallen down to the ground. He picked it up wanting to fight Scott back, he never knew who they were but he senses an heavy presence and trouble on himself. He stepped back trying to fight him, Sky Lord couldn't control his anger, he took the recording stand and the phone they were using to record, he threw them to the ground and stepped on the phone till it got destroyed.
He neared Mr Sharp, dodged few knife attacks from him, he then hit him hard on his face. Sharp fell to the ground losing balance, he tried looking for support when another kick landed on him in his stomach. He almost fainted, Scott took him by his cloth, continue giving him punches till he was bleeding on his head and lips. Micheal and Roy rushed to Scott to stop him because he could kill the man. "Guy, leave him, go take care of your wife first. We would deal with him later". Roy urged Scott who wouldn't listen to them.
Scott got up and left Sharp after he heard Flora's name. He went to where Flora had fainted, picked her up and took her into his car. He drove off on a high speed feeling sorry for his wife, he viewed himself as an incompetent husband. If he had gotten there earlier she wouldn't have been hurt like this.
He checked her body, seeing bruises & cuts on her beautiful skin gave him continuous self blame.
He had planned to watch the shooting star that was announced to be out late at night. He had made plans to take her to watch this star and make wishes for their love and marriage, he had planned picking her up from her work and going to have a lunch first.
Scott sighed and submerged his anger. It dissipated gradually because he was hurt about hurting her.
He got home, took her to their room and told the doctor to come in. He had phoned his doctor on the way to come meet him at home immediately. The doctor had thought he was the patient, but he soon found out it was the man's wife.

Beauty had called Roy to ask about Flora after Aria had informed her about her best friend being in danger. Roy had assured her to not worry that they have gotten her location and she would be in save hands. Though Beauty was assured that Scott would take care of Flora and would not allow anything or anyone to hurt her. That night she could not sleep well, even after she had called Scott to ask after Flora and he had told her she was already treated and sleeping fine.
Around 9 in the night, Flora woke up, she saw her husband not sleeping. She knew he was worried and sad about what had happened to her. "Why aren't you sleeping?". She asked him pitifully.
"You should rest well, no working for a week". He said ignoring her questions.
"Huh? A week? No, I have to go to work tomorrow. I am perfectly okay, I just need to sleep more". She said trying to go back to sleep.
"I have called in for you at work, I told them you are taking leave for some days. You need to listen to me this time around, don't be stubborn again".
The "again" he mentioned, he was referring to when he told her not to take the personal job earlier in the morning. Flora knew what he was trying to say, she couldn't say anymore thing, she just kept quiet and looked down.
"Okay". She replied reluctantly.
"A shooting star is predicted to be out tonight. It time I think". He said walking to the window, he opened the window and looked outside. "Really? I would love to watch also". She got out of bed happily, though her legs were still weak. Scott went to help her and took her to the window side. As both couple looked outside, up in the sky, a star shot pass above their room. What a lucky pair!.
