Chapter 19: Is this love?
"Maxson, let's talk on phone tonight, I'll explain everything to you. Right now, I can't talk here, you know this is my workplace". Joan said.
"Alright, I understand you. Can you please receive this flower bouquet from me and when I am done with my meal, I'll leave". He said looking a little sad.
He took the bouquet from the table and gave it to Joan, she received it and smiled at him. "Thank you so much Maxson. Do take care of yourself, I won't be able to see you off". She looked at him feeling so sorry.
"Okay, okay, you may leave now, so I won't delay you from working". Maxson teased her.
Joan nodded and left him. Maxson continued his meal, he couldn't wait for night to reach so he could hear her beautiful voice again.

After the night Beauty had called Scott to check up on Flora, she had calmed down a little bit. Her worried heart eased a lot, but she still needed to see her. Beauty left for Scott's mansion since Flora was on a sick leave from her work.
The securities recognized her because Scott already gave them permission to let her in. She went inside the mansion and saw Flora sitting on the sofa in the living room. She was awed by the beauty of the mansion and its vicinity.
"Sweetheart, I am so sorry for just visiting now". Beauty apologized sincerely. "I have been so worried about you, how are you feeling now?". She asked checking her body.
"Babe, I am okay. It just a little scratch and bruise, apart from that I am fine. You don't have to worry about me". She said laughing at her best friend's attitude.
"Oh! Is it funny? I am have been worried about you and you are here laughing?". Beauty complained with a frown.
"Hmmm, I understand your worriness. But you know am married now, if my husband sees you like this, won't he think there is something else between us?" Flora laughed again.
"It alright, I can understand you. You know we have known each other for a long time and we are more like sisters, I am not used to it yet that you are married". She said calmly.
"It okay babe. Thanks for your care, I really appreciate". Flora replied her.
"But are you sure you are okay now?". She asked Flora.
"Yes dear". Flora said. "Scott had been really taking care of me, what do you think?". She whispered to her ear.
"Or has he fallen in love with you? So fast?". She whispered back to Flora.
"Huh? That's too fast, I don't think so". Flora said blushing unaware.
"I can see you are blushing, it shows both of you are just in love with yourselves, please stop deceiving me with your lies". Beauty responded, teasing her friend.
Both friends laughed while a servant approached them. "Welcome ma, what would you like me to serve you ma?". She asked Beauty.
"Don't bother, thanks for the hospitality". She thanked the servant.
The servant bowed and left. Flora asked her why she won't be waiting to dine with her, Beauty declined, telling her she had to go to work and sort out somethings.
Both friends hugged and say a goodbye greetings to each other.

At the cave ground, Sharp and his three men were tied to an iron bar, they were bleeding all over their body. Their clothes had been torn away from their body, leaving them naked for torture.
Scott sat opposite them, he had left Flora telling her he had some things to sort out in the company that he would be back very soon. He held a gun in his right hand, on his left hand was a tobacco. He placed the tobacco in his mouth, drew in the smoke and puffed it out.
"Sharp, who sent you to harm my wife? I hate delays". He said while puffing the smoke.
With the little breath Sharp could make, he managed to speak. "No one, s s senn sent me". He said stammering.
Scott grinned and made a wicked laugh, it filled the room where they were. Venom and Dragon stood behind him.
Scott lifted the gun in his hands and shot the three men excluding Sharp. "Parr, parr, parr". The sound went consistently.
Sharp body tensed, he knew he would be gone soon. But he had decided not to reveal Cylene to him, he had promised her to take it to his grave. Cylene had gotten information that he had been captured and she had threatened him even before he was captured that she would eliminate his wife and children if he revealed her as the mastermind and he had promised he would follow her instructions, to save his own family.
"Who sent you?". Scott asked the second time with a calm cold voice.
Sharp didn't even bother to answer, he was just awaiting his death. The next sound he heard was Scott's laughter. "Hahahaha, you thought I would kill you just like I killed your men? Venom!" He called out.
"Yes boss". I need your torture on him everyday and I also need him alive". He said as he stood up leaving the room.
Venom and Dragon bowed as their boss left, he signaled to Dragon. Dragon went to another room and carried in a big box. Sharp looked up, he wondered what they were about to do to him. "Whattttt are you guys doing?". He asked frankly.
"Ohhh, you could talk very well now? Venom said smiling. He was an heavily built man, loaded with abs a lady would love. On his back was a big cobra drawn, on his left stomach was another cobra tattoo. Sharp knew his title would be the definition of his cruelty.
Venom and Dragon brought out different tools to implement as torture on Sharp's body. Venom took an injection, he injected Sharp at the back of his head. The injection destabilize his brain first, he couldn't think straight and started screaming, they took another weapon and fixed on his legs, cutting off his toes.
The pain that lingered over his body was worst than death. He begged for death but nobody would give it to him. No matter how long he screamed, no one would ever come to his aid.

Cylene told Presch about the plan they had executed, she explained to her that Flora was rescued at the scene. Both mother and daughter were sad and upset, they felt like going to where she was to kill or poison her to death.
Presch left for Broe's office even with the annoyance that gripped her. "What is the matter baby?". Broe who was working on his system sensed Presch indifferent expressions in the office.
"Hm?". She was carried away with her thoughts, she needed to hide it from Broe. "Nothing baby, I am just feeling a little weak". She said lying.
"Okay then, you can lie down where you are. When I am done with work I'll take you home". He replied with care.
Prech stood up and went to hug him, she lied to him that she was fine and assured him not to worry about her, Broe choosed to believe her.

Scott got back home immediately after he left the cave ground, he had missed his wife with just few minutes of leaving her. He met her in the living room busy on her phone.
"I thought I told you no working for now". He said taking away the phone from her.
"I was not working, I was replying some messages on my phone". She explained to him.
"That is still working because you are stressing your body and eyes. Should we go for a sunbath? Or what would you like to do?". He asked feeling concerned about her health.
"Hmmm, nothing". She said playfully.
The next second, Scott bent down massaging her legs, Flora wasn't expecting that, she began blushing and enjoyed the massage.
"The doctor had said the drugs might affect your legs a little bit. He told me to always help you in every means I can. Therefore, as your husband, I am the only one who can care for you".
Flora wondered how jealous he would have been if he was home when Beauty had come visiting her. "Hmmmm, really?". She asked him.
"Yes of course. I'll be giving you more massage from now on and even when you are pregnant with our baby". Scott said smiling.
"Huh?". Flora exclaimed. She remembered this was just a contract marriage, why bringing up pregnancy. She wanted to speak against what he had just said, but something in her stopped her.
She was so happy to have a man who could care for her in these special ways. What a pity that they would be separating soon, she could see he had fallen in love with her.
While lost in her thoughts, her phone rang. Scott checked the caller since the phone was with him, he saw the caller, Mr Mareed Michael. He frowned his face and wanted to pick the call.
Flora stopped him in time, she collected the phone from him and answered the call. "Hello Mr Michael". She said, putting the phone on speaker.
"Good day Mrs Sliver, I called to check in on your health. Hope you are feeling better?" He asked out of concern.
Yes, I am feeling good. Thanks for the care, I am grateful". She smiled and said.
"It okay, make sure you take good care of yourself". He said and ended the call.
Flora looked at Scott's face, giving him an expression of "That is all". He took the phone from her and kissed her lip lightly. She was surprised by the sudden kiss and immediately pulled her mouth away. Scott caught her blushing timidly, he looked away smiling and continued massaging her legs.
