Upon being pointed at, Elena's eyes widened, her lips quivering hard as dozens of eyes turned toward her immediately.
"I-It's… Mr. Elba must've seen wrongly! Besides, I'm friends with Mr. Locke! What kind of woman would I be if I were flirting with her husband behind her back?" She stuttered, blinking rapidly as if trying not to tear up at the 'accusation'.
Robotically, the eyes that had been on her earlier quickly whipped toward Ayla.
Silas also did the same, questioning with a raised brow, "You know her?"
He was a pathological liar and knew he could easily lie his way out of this.
But he was very surprised to hear Elena say she was friends with Ayla. So Ayla had such a nice friend but never once mentioned her?
"I have never met her before in my life," Ayla shook her head, her eyes meeting Elena's stunned ones.
